INTERACTIVE AUDIO

Little known HamsterBall fact – we were originally known as InternetSound and grew up with all the interactive agencies and supporters during the wild and wacky late 90s. So we cut our teeth when there were no standards, no rules, just a wide-open generalized understanding that this was big and you had to find a way to cut through the clutter.

Some of our early clients were Ford (J. Walter Thompson Interactive), Chrysler (Bozell, Ross Roy), Sega (Freestyle Interactive), Toyota (Saatchi & Saatchi Interactive), and Compaq (Agency.com). We did the audio for the first banner ad that had sound ( Hewlett-Packard).

14 years later, interactive remains just as fascinating. We’re still all creating new and better ways to engage and empower the target audience. And audio is, frankly, a big part of that, especially for sites and applications that allow the consumer to have control over the experience. They want richer, deeper interactions with the company. Audio helps improve identity and brand loyalty, and therefore sales. It makes eLearning more user-friendly and increases retention. It makes the advergames…well, more fun.

We understand the technology and how the audience is different from broadcast or gaming. We listen to our clients goals and help them reach them.

And to think it all started when a 28.8kbs modem was considered blazin’ fast!
